15 Questions Meme

The lovely Anna over at Defiant Success made this new meme up. It's simple, she gave us 15 questions, now you answer them. So here are my answers:

1. Movie you love with a passion.

Yeah, I know Gone with the Wind isn't my absolute favourite movie of all time, but I will throw a fridge off a cliff if I find out someone doesn't like it.

2. Movie you vow to never watch.

Ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww x10000000000000.

3. Movie that literally left you speechless.

My friend started talking to me as the credits rolled and I just started crying. God I'm strange.

4. Movie you always recommend.

Working at a video store, it's my job to recommend the latest movies. But really, I hate recommending movies. However, in order to be my friend, you must have watched Juno. I guess that counts as a recommendation.

5. Actor/actress you always watch, no matter how crappy the movie.

Proof: I watched Amy Adams in Moonlight Serenade last night. At that time she was a two-time Oscar nominee. What the hell was she doing in that film?!

6. Actor/actress you don't get the appeal for.

Johnny Depp actually kinda scares me. I JUST WANT TO KNOW WHAT HE LOOKS LIKE NORMALLY!

7. Actor/actress, living or dead, you'd love to meet.

Like, Jeremy Renner just seems like a really chill guy. I mean, when he's had enough of walking down the red carpet, he just kneels down on the ground and poses like a boss. He must be a real bad-ass too, because he always is in his movies. And he's pretty sexy.

8. Sexiest actor/actress you've seen. (Picture required!)

I couldn't pick just one. Andrew Garfield is an obvious, since I've been obsessing over him since I saw The Social Network. Leonardo DiCaprio is just King Sexy. And, well, as for Jon Hamm...how is he even alive? He's such a good looking man, it almost hurts to look at him. I don't even watch Mad Men, so I'm basing all this love for him around The Town.

9. Dream cast.

I don't know what kind of movie this would make, but I'm just combining all of my favourite people at the moment: Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner, Olivia Williams, Jesse Eisenberg and Rebecca Hall.
10. Favorite actor pairing.

Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet = It never gets old. Make another movie, or better yet, get together!
11. Favorite movie setting.

Sweden. After watching Let the Right One In, you have no idea of how much I want to go to Sweden.
12. Favorite decade for movies.
I love movies from the 1930's. And the 1940's.
13. Chick flick or action movie?
As much as I'd love to say action movie here, I love watching chick flicks. They're bad, but they're easy to watch.
14. Hero, villain or anti-hero?
Anti-hero. I love my anti-heroes.
15. Black and white or colour?
I love black and white, but colour does a lot more for me.

So, if you made it down here, then it is your turn to do this quiz!

  1. Throw a fridge off a cliff! As much as I loved Scarlett O'Hara and Rhett Butler, I will never go through the mind-torture of watching Gone With the Wind again.
Johnny Depp looked himself in Chocolat and Secret Window. But there's a reason why he's called a chameleon.

I agree with you about the Leo-Kate thing. And Andrew. And Anti-heroes. And Juno.

And your dream cast is really dreamy :)

  2. I have watched The Human Centipede when my friend stayed over.

I must say that it is probably one of the funniest films I have ever seen, (this seems to be the knack of a lot of horror films coming out now, which is annoying.)

I have no idea why they're making a second one though, (well apart from the money reasons). We've seen it before, are 12 people connected to someone else's ass really going to be any different?

    Nope.

John Hamm is an indeed fine looking man. Though when he is out of those 60s clothes, he suddenly becomes less attractive, (why is this?)

On a vain, good-looking note, I don't get the appeal of Johnny Depp, but I do personality wise and his dress sense is also extremely awesome.

He just seems like a really cool guy, uncaring to all the Hollywood bullshit. And I like that about him.

  4. I don't get the appeal for Johnny Depp either, he's annoying.

Juno was great, a very original film.

I think I may do this meme is I find the time, it's pretty cool!

  5. Nikhat - Meh, the fridge is too heavy. It's exhausting loving a movie with a passion.
I guess it's good that Johnny Depp is a chameleon, but I gets so confuseded!
The only thing missing from my dream cast is me :)

Cherokee - Most horror films are funny these days, mainly because the actors are awful. But I never want to put myself through The Human Centipede. That's just gross.
I like Jon Hamm in 60's clothes, but he's much sexier when he's just looking normal. Especially in The Town. He was really hot in that one.
Johnny Depp is a pretty awesome person, I'll admit. He seems really chill.

    Andina - Have a go!

Jack - I don't get the appeal for his acting, since I don't recognize him most of the time.
Juno is probably the funniest movie I've ever seen!
    Do the meme!

  6. You can tell we're from different generations Stevee because Gone With The Wind is the only one of your choices I really concur with. Mind you, my mother is named after Vivien Leigh so it's no wonder I've got a soft spot for that film.
You can hold on to that fridge for a little bit longer!

  7. Anna - Choice idea!

Paul - Your mum is names after Vivien Leigh? That's so awesome! I'll keep holding onto the fridge!

  9. I'm sorry, but I've never seen Gone With the Wind... But I have no idea, why.

Chick-flicks? Wouououw! I know, Sex and the City is a pretty bad film, but I had fun watching it... Oh, and off course, I love Confessions of a Shopaholic.

I think I'll participate in this thing as well.

  10. How does this work? Do these questions have to be answered on our own site or should I post my choices here?

  11. Lime(tte) - I have fun watching chick flicks, and that's the main thing! Oh wow, you love Confessions of a Shopaholic too?! I love that movie!

Ian - Post it on your own blog :D

  12. Actually that Amy Adams film, Moonlight Serenade was shot in 2005 but released a lot later. She probably wouldn't have done it if it was shot just before its release.
I gotta say I kind of like that film, very poetic and beautiful in many ways. She is great as always and I love how the singing comes and goes.

  13. Wow! You learn something new every day. I didn't really like the film that much, since the singing comes and goes and to me, it all felt out of place. But Amy Adams was charming in it, as always!

  14. I gotta comment on you wanting to go to Sweden.

I guess it seems exotic when you live in New Zeeland but believe me I grew up in the wereabouts where they shot the out door scenes in LTROI and its horribly cold.

One winter we had a cold period for 3 or 4 weeks where it never got warmer than 35 minus celcius it was minus 45 degrees when at its worst.

But that was truly extreme conditions.

  15. Finally managed to get my own list up and I chose the same movie as you did for the one I'd never would want to watch.

If you're interested you can read it here:

Watched Juno last year and it's a fun movie.

  16. great choices! ...except Johnny depp ...hes hot.

  17. Joel - I'm weird...I hate Summer, and I don't mind the cold. I know that Sweden is really freezing (I have relatives who live there), but it's just a dream of mine to go there. I'll probably never get to go in my lifetime, but a girl can dream, right?

myfilmviews - Who would want to watch that movie? And Juno is boss!

Bluej - I admit, Johnny Depp is a good looking fellow. But I just don't get the appeal for his acting.

You mustn't be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling.
