Oscar Predictions Are Up! (A.K.A please nominate Leonardo DiCaprio, I'll do anything)

Last week, I was all set and ready to give up on my Oscar predictions. Admittedly, I've found it hard to get into this year's awards season. This could be because of three reasons:
a) I haven't yet seen 12 Years a Slave and probably won't until next month.
b) Jessica Chastain isn't nominated for anything (but she IS going to be at the Golden Globes so it is almost the same thing).
c) There probably won't be anyone winning who has a sexy voice like Daniel Day-Lewis, or will look as perpetually lost as him, or has such a radiant smile as him, or will have the gorgeous Rebecca Miller to gush over in their acceptance speeches. Yeah, I really need to stop watching his acceptance speeches.

However, I am excited for one big reason:
THE WOLF OF WALL STREET, bitches! Okay, so I realise that Leonardo DiCaprio being nominated may not happen. But if it doesn't, I will cry buckets, even if it is going to be 3am when the nominations hit. I just love him in that movie so much, okay?! It is literally the best thing he's ever done. Ever.

And yeah, that's pretty much it. I'm majorly excited to watch tomorrow's Golden Globes just because it gives me something to do for a few hours (and I have major hearts for Tina Fey and Amy Poehler). I have been slowly catching up on awardsy films, seeing Rush and Short Term 12 (oh yeah, I'm campaigning for that as well) and Dallas Buyers Club in the past week. I'm slowly coming around, but my predictions are pretty clueless.

As always, they were fun to do and it is always cool to get out the Photoshop and make my predictions look pretty so you can hopefully ignore the fact that I have no idea of what I'm talking about. So check 'em out here!

  1. Leo better be fucking nominated. That performance is truly balls-to-the-wall and more. He becomes THE MAN in that film. Him, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Christian Bale, and Joaquin Phoenix I hope get nods as it would make a great Best Actor Oscar race.

  2. I love that you're predicting Sally Hawkins to get nominated, as well as a screenplay nod for Short Term 12. All I want is a nomination for DiCaprio!
