If the Titles Laid the Whole Movie Out For Ya...

In the past couple of weeks, we've been blessed with two movies that have very straight-forward titles: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen and Man on a Ledge. From those titles, you can instantly guess what the movie is going to be about. So I wondered, what would happen if this happened for a whole lot of other movies? Hmmmmm? Of course, I had to whip out my funny cap and Photoshop and come up with these gems. Advertising would be a whole lot easier if they had these titles.

Coming at you straight from "Biopic Pity Parties for Oscars", in association with "Meryl Streep Guarantees Oscars".

We Need to Talk About Kevin kinda spells it all out for you, but the moral of the story is don't have children. This advertisement should be everywhere.

Teenage fandoms these days...

We Bought a Zoo? No, Matt Damon bought a zoo. Geez, get it right.

Because that's what Project X is all about. Making teens look like asswipes.

I knew that Something Borrowed had other implications in the title. I knew it.

Nicolas Cage is a busy man. He ain't got time for no acting shit.

Kinda like Love and Other Drugs, but with less sex and more arty stuff.

You could have saved your money if you saw this poster.

Just for extra class. And alliteration.

Can you think of any more straight-forward movie titles?

  2. The one with Cage was for me the best out of them all. All that irony in that title. And nice job, quite the entertainment in the morning before I have to study! Thanks!

    1. But he wasn't in Bad Lieutenant? Just the new version which came out three years ago.

    1. Thanks! I only just got Photoshop so I'm happy with how these turned out. They were great for me to learn my way around it.

  7. lol, I remember people did a bunch of these when Snakes on a Plane came out, too. My favorite of this bunch, though, would probably be "Teenagers Doing Dumb Shit."

    1. Haha, Snakes on a Plane is such an obvious title. And hey, that's definitely what Project X should have been called!

  11. These are brilliant, but one thing I would say is to change The Hunger Games on from "like, on TV and everything" to "like Battle Royale, except without subtitles", but thats just me, still, well done Stevee

  12. I love it! Thanks for literally making me laugh out loud. Lots of gems here. "Don't have kids, but if you do, talk about them." :-D Sound advice. "Teenagers doing dumb shit" ... summarizes the plot of a lot of movies. ;-)
