Annual Awards Nerdism is back for another year...

A lot of you probably don't remember, as this was back in the day when I didn't have many followers and I was pretty much just blogging to myself, but I had this series called 'Annual Awards Nerdism'. This was when I just talked about the awards season, which is my favourite part of the year. Let's hope that next year we end the season on a better note than The King's Speech.

Anyway, we are getting close to the beginning of awards season, so I've started with doing my Oscar predictions. As I explained on the page, I haven't seen many of these films, so I'm not basing it on what I've seen, but what I've heard. And also, I'll be adding to this page, so check back every so often to have a look.

I hope you will all join me for this/next years Annual Awards Nerdism...it's hopefully going to be fun!

  1. I remember your Annual Awards Nerdism series! (And glad to see it back, too.)

  2. I didn't have a problem with the Kings Speech myself. I was annoyed that Black Swan didn't win best director tho, as i feel Darren did the most visually out of all the movies that were nominated.

  4. I'm hoping MIDNIGHT IN PARIS will sweep the Oscars; it's the best film of the year that I've seen, and it's the sort of film Oscar voters love. I reckon it has a strong chance.

  6. As I'm quite new to your blog, I had no idea what the Annual Nerdism was. Sounds like a great idea though.

I too must admit I have yet to see a lot of these films so I'll probably start making my predictions public about a week before the Oscars. Even then I probably won't have a clue (I'm bad at predicting who'll win).

  9. Cherokee - Haha, of course you do!

Julian - I just think that there were six films better than that one in contention. And yes, Darren Aronofsky should have won. His work was amazing.

    Ruth - I hope so!

Tyler - I don't think it does. It will get a few nominations, yes, but because of it's early release date it would have lost a bit of traction. Which is unfortunate, because I love that movie!

    Matt - I didn't hate The King's Speech! I just liked it.

Leith - I'm quite good at predicting...it's strange. I got 80% of my predictions right last year!

Scott - Hopefully it's up to your standards!

    Bonjour Tristesse - Cool!

    Robert - I will :)
