Day 01--Sequel that should not have been made...

There are so many sequels that shouldn't have been made. Here's just a short list of some (which I haven't seen) that really shouldn't have made it to the screens at all.

  • S. Darko. Like, seriously? Just about a decade after the first masterpiece was made, and then they decide to make another one? Stupid people with too much time on their hands.
  • Saw 3, 4, 5, 6, and 3D. I can understand them wanting to make another one after the success of the first one. But then making more and more? Whoever is responsible for them must be one sick-minded person.

  • The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Eclipse. I know they had to be made because they were part of a book series, but I don't like them. In fact, over half of the world doesn't like them. Yawn.

  • St. Trinians II: The Legend of Fritton's Gold. I actually didn't know there was a sequel until a few weeks back. Totally, totally unnecessary. I mean, not a lot of people liked the first one anyway. Myself included.

  • Sex and the City 2. I have a feeling this could be the next Saw franchise...

  • Step Up 3D. When a movie ends with '3D', you know shits gonna go down. I am so sick of these dance movies!!

  • Shrek the Third and Shrek Forever After. Once the Kiwi left the franchise, that was it. The first two were enough.

But what, in my books, is the 'SEQUEL THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN MADE'?

There's two, actually.

Psycho II & III

No Alfred Hitchcock, no movie. These movies were exactly like every other slasher movie in the Eighties...gory, horrible effects, and full of screams and sex. Whereas the first film (and what should have been the only film), was a crafty horror filled with suspense and kept you guessing right til the very end. Coz once you know who Norman Bates really is, the rest just gets boring. I don't even know why anyone would want to make those films.
