Love and Other Links

I watched Burlesque last night, I'm watching Love and Other Drugs and Somewhere tonight. So, while I watch Anne Hathaway and Jake Gyllenhaal have lots of sex, read up:

Anna from Defiant Success continues her 'Counterfeit Casting' series with wondering who could possibly play Montgomery Clift. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is one of the options. So is Leonardo DiCaprio. Who would you pick?

Jack from Jack L. film reviews has decided to do a Silent Film Marathon! If I thought watching a classic film a day was hard work, this would be much harder! I can't wait to see the outcome.

For this week's edition of 'Fight Club', Film Intel put Superman Returns up against The Dark Knight. See who won.

Andrew from Andy Buckle's Film Emporium seemed to like Antichrist. Now I haven't seen the movie, but one of my colleagues is a real horror fan and said this was the sickest movie she's ever watched. I'm still gonna steer clear of it.

Hatter at The Dark of the Matinee has been watching lots of docos for the 'Hot Docs' festival, and he reviewed one called 'Superheroes', which looks damn interesting!

Relatively new kid on the block Matt has reviewed the original TRON. If only I had a blu-ray player, I'd check this out. It can't be much worse than the new one.

Andrew at Encore's World of Film & TV reviewed Source Code, which is coming out here this week, and I shall try and see as soon as possible.

LAMMY reminder! I'M HERE! I'M HERE! I'M HERE!

As for my review of Thor...well that's coming up tomorrow, I'm a little tired and feeling a bit sick at the moment, so I'll just focus on Jake and Annie...

  1. I love the way you title such posts, using different films, not just one.

I had read some of these posts :)

  3. Thanks for the linkage Stevie, happy to see people's interest in nonfiction a little more passionate this time around.

SUPERHEROES is a very cool watch, and I think it'll be getting some play later on this summer so keep your eyes open.

    have a great week!

  4. Thanks for the linkage Stevee!

I look forward to your review of Thor, I'm actually surprised at the positive reviews it's been getting to be honest...

  5. I disliked Antichrist. Indeed, some very shocking sights but I thought they were used just for the sake of controversy with no real insight behind them.

  6. Lesya - I think it's cute. But it's going to be hard next week since I'm watching The Tourist, The Dilemma and maybe Tangled. So I'll either get The Linkist, The Linklemma or Linkled. Haha.

Andy - It doesn't look like a very enjoyable movie!

Hatter - I'm having a lot of fun reading about these docos...it's like a whole new world to me!
SUPERHEROES sounds awesome. If I ever get the chance to see it, I will!

Jack - That's alright! And the review of THOR is processing as we speak...

Castor - Yeah...I've read some of the things that happened in this movie, and I can't even see how they'd be relevant. Alas, Lars von Trier is a strange director.
